Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

By using State Test Scores (the "Service"), you agree to these terms. Please read them.

What the Service is

The Service estimates percentiles and shows comparisons for state test scores using publicly published aggregate data. Results are statistical estimates for informational purposes only. They are not official scores, not official rankings, and not educational, psychological, or professional advice. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any state education department.

No warranty

The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. While we work to keep the data and method accurate, we do not guarantee that results are error-free or fit for any particular purpose. Do not rely on the Service for decisions where an official record is required — obtain those from your school or the relevant education department.

Acceptable use

The Service and its compiled data are for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not scrape, bulk-download, republish, redistribute, or resell the compiled datasets or content, or use the Service to build a competing product.

Intellectual property

The site, its design, text, and the compiled/derived datasets are owned by us or our licensors. The underlying public data remains the property of its original sources. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal purposes.

Purchases

The multi-year progress report is available as a one-time paid unlock, sold through our payment provider (a merchant of record who handles the transaction and applicable taxes). Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
