State Test Scores ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect and
how we use it. In short: the free lookup runs in your browser, we don't sell your personal
information, and we collect as little as possible.
Information we collect
Test scores you enter: the free score lookup runs entirely in your browser.
The scores you type are used to compute results locally and are not sent to our servers.
When you choose the optional paid report and ask us to email it, the report content is sent
to our server solely to generate and deliver that email.
Email address: if you join a state waitlist or ask us to email a report, we use
your address only for that purpose and related product updates.
Payment information: purchases are processed by our payment provider (a
merchant of record). We do not see or store your full card details.
Local storage: we store your report unlock status (and, if you send a report,
your email) in your browser's local storage so you don't have to re-enter them. You can clear this
at any time in your browser.
Usage analytics: we may use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics (no
advertising trackers) to understand overall traffic.
What we do not do
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use advertising or cross-site
tracking. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
The underlying data
School, district, and state statistics come from publicly published aggregate data (NYSED and
NYC DOE). These are group figures about schools and tests — not personal records about your child.
Your choices
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information you've provided
(such as a waitlist or report email) by contacting us. You can unsubscribe from product emails at any
time.
