Missouri Biology: what a high-school score means

On Missouri's MAP end-of-course (EOC) assessments, Biology is reported on a scale from 325 to 461 (2021 to 2025), and each score falls into one of 4 performance levels. Reaching Proficient, at 400 or above, is the state's proficiency line.

Who takes this test

These counts are the students who took this end-of-course test during the school year, in the summer, fall and spring testing windows together. Middle-school students who take a high-school course test early (most often Algebra I) are included, counted at their middle school.

Is a particular score good?

A score's meaning depends on where it lands in the ranges above, and on how it compares to other students who took the same test. Our free tool turns a Biology score into an estimated percentile versus the school, district and the whole state, so you can see where a score stands, not just its level.
