These numbers are the Oregon public school students in grade 11 who took the Smarter Balanced ELA or math test at their school. In Oregon a parent can excuse a student from state tests: in 2026 about three in four juniors took them (76% for ELA, 73% for math), in 2018 and 2019 about 85%, and in 2022 about six in ten. So these results describe the juniors who tested, not every junior. Oregon does not publish a group's results when a level would reveal a very small number of students, so some small schools are missing.

A score's meaning depends on where it lands in the ranges above, and on how it compares to other students who took the same test. Our free tool turns a Grade 11 ELA score into an estimated percentile versus the school, district and the whole state, so you can see where a score stands, not just its level.
