On Nevada's ACT, Grade 11 ACT Math is reported on a scale from 1 to 36 (2018, 2019 and 2021 to 2026), and each score falls into one of 4 performance levels. Reaching Level 3, at 20 or above, is the state's proficiency line.
| Level | Score range | What it means | Statewide 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | 1–14 | The lowest level, well below the state standard | 27% |
| Level 2 | 15–19 | Approaching the state standard | 51% |
| Level 3 | 20–25 | Meeting the state standard (the proficiency line) | 15% |
| Level 4 | 26–36 | The highest level, above the state standard | 8% |
Statewide in 2026, about 23% of the students counted for Grade 11 ACT Math reached Level 3 or Level 4. The bar above shows the share at each level (left = lowest).
These numbers are the Nevada public school students who took each test at their school: the ACT that every Nevada junior takes in grade 11, and the Nevada High School Science test, which each student takes once, most in grade 9 and the rest in grade 10 (so a school's science numbers cover everyone who took it there that spring). Students who took Nevada's alternate assessment are not included. Nevada does not publish results for very small groups, so a few small schools are missing. A student needs the ACT writing test to get an ACT ELA score, so slightly fewer students have an ELA score than a math score.

A score's meaning depends on where it lands in the ranges above, and on how it compares to other students who took the same test. Our free tool turns a Grade 11 ACT Math score into an estimated percentile versus the school, district and the whole state, so you can see where a score stands, not just its level.
