On Indiana's ILEARN Biology end-of-course assessment, Biology is reported on a scale from 500 to 620 (2024 to 2026), and each score falls into one of 4 performance levels. Reaching At Proficiency, at 561 or above, is the state's proficiency line.
The score ranges changed during these years, so each period has its own table below, newest first.
From 2024, Biology has a new score scale (500 to 620), so a score from before 2024 is not directly comparable to one from 2024 on. Percentiles are, because each year is compared with its own students.

Biology includes every student who took the ILEARN Biology end-of-course test that school year, in any grade: middle-school students who take Biology early are included, counted at their middle school. In 2019 Indiana counted only students enrolled for at least 162 days of the school year. From 2025, students using an Education Scholarship Account are not in the school and school-corporation numbers. The SAT tests include the juniors who took the SAT at school in Indiana's March SAT School Day; weekend SAT scores are not included.

A score's meaning depends on where it lands in the ranges above, and on how it compares to other students who took the same test. Our free tool turns a Biology score into an estimated percentile versus the school, corporation, county and the whole state, so you can see where a score stands, not just its level.
