On the Georgia Milestones end-of-course (EOC) tests, Geometry is reported on a scale from 180 to 815 (2018 and 2019), and each score falls into one of 4 performance levels. Reaching Proficient Learner, at 525 or above, is the state's proficiency line.
| Level | Score range | What it means | Statewide 2019 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Beginning Learner | 180–474 | The lowest level, well below the state standard | 26% |
| Developing Learner | 475–524 | Approaching the state standard | 29% |
| Proficient Learner | 525–595 | Meeting the state standard (the proficiency line) | 30% |
| Distinguished Learner | 596–815 | The highest level, above the state standard | 15% |
Statewide in 2019, about 45% of the students counted for Geometry reached Proficient Learner or Distinguished Learner. The bar above shows the share at each level (left = lowest). 2019 is the most recent year with Geometry results.
These counts cover the whole school year: students who took the test in the December (winter) window are counted along with the spring testers. Georgia's statewide totals here match the state's own winter plus spring results to within 2% every year. Middle-school students who take a high-school course early, most often Algebra, take its end-of-course test and are counted here at their middle school (about one in five Algebra testers). Schools with fewer than 10 testers are not shown.

A score's meaning depends on where it lands in the ranges above, and on how it compares to other students who took the same test. Our free tool turns a Geometry score into an estimated percentile versus the school, district and the whole state, so you can see where a score stands, not just its level.
